How to Edit AI Writing Manually
If you only have five to ten minutes, this checklist gives you the highest impact edits first.
1) Fix the Opening
Most AI openings are generic. Replace the first two lines with a specific pain point or direct value statement.
2) Remove Filler Phrases
Cut weak transitions and repeated qualifiers. Keep sentences direct and useful.
3) Improve Structure
Break long paragraphs into smaller blocks. Add descriptive headings so readers can scan quickly.
4) Check Claims and Numbers
Confirm every fact and number before publishing. Never rely on generated content without verification.
5) Run a Final Human Read
- Read out loud once.
- Shorten one long sentence per paragraph.
- Add one concrete example where possible.
